    Small Group Bible Studies ("Sunday School")

    Sunday Mornings @ 8:30am & 9:45am

    These age and stage-based classes are designed for kids 0-6th grade, to dig into God’s Word, learning Who He is, who we are in Him, and how we can choose to live for Him.


    LNBC Kid’s Worship

    Sunday Mornings @ 9:45am

    In Kid’s Worship, we praise God in the way He created us to, with wiggles, songs, and shouts. We hear directly from His Word, and learn how to obey and apply His Word to our lives with kid sized messages.  This is for kids in 1st - 5th grade.


    AWANA

    Sunday Evenings @ 5:00pm

    Awana is a tool we use to sink Scripture into the hearts and minds of our kids. It is designed to help parents cultivate a deep and lasting love knowledge of God’s Word in the lives of kids through an exciting, weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.  AWANA is available for kids ages 3-5th grade.  Click here for details.

    CentriKid Camp

    June 2020

    CentriKid is a high energy, intentionally gospel-centered, overnight summer camp for 3rd-rising 7th graders. Centrikid is designed to help bring your childs relationship with Jesus into focus. We work to support their growth as they make new friends, explore a new place, and encounter God in a new way – distraction free.


    VBS

    July 2020

    Through VBS this summer kids, will focus in on some amazing, real-life encounters with Jesus.  Kids will discover that each snapshot of Jesus is an opportunity to respond to the gospel. And when put together, these isolated encounters clearly reveal the most amazing truth of all—Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of God, and by believing we can have life in His name. 


    LNBC Kids Choir

    Wednesdays 6:00pm

    Wednesday nights at LNBC, kids sing and make music to the Lord!  From 3 years old to 6th grade, we have a choir for your child!  Choir will rehearse weekly through the school year, with special presentations throughout the year!


    Kindergarten Registration

    We want your child to start their Kindergarten year off right! Please complete this form below if you have a child that will be entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2020 and will be joining us on Sunday mornings.  Move Up Sunday is the FIRST SUNDAY IN SEPTEMBER. Please continue attending the 4s class until that day. We will have a special welcome gift for your child when they come to their first Kindergarten Sunday morning small group time.

    Every week at LNBC, people just like you help kids discover faith in a big God. In LNBC Kids we have a variety of roles that will allow you to have a blast using your gifts to serve the way God made you. It’s also a great chance to get connected and make some new friends along the way.

MEET JANELLE

Janelle Venters is the Children’s Minister at LNBC, and joined our staff in 2009. Called to work with children in college, she studied Early Elementary Education at Eastern Kentucky University, and is currently working toward her Advanced Certification in Children’s Ministry through Bethel Seminary. Her love for children’s ministry is intense! Having served in ministry for almost 20 years, she is passionate about helping guide the spiritual formation of young minds to the eternal Truth that Jesus is Lord, and nurturing a desire in kids to know fully, grow deeply, and show generously, the love of Christ.


Janelle was married to her best friend and ministry partner, Houston, for 16 years, until he was called home to be with the Lord in 2015. They have two beautiful teenage daughters, Bailey and Tori. And though her family calls North Carolina home, they will ALWAYS be Kentucky Wildcats!

MEET COURTENAY

Courtenay McFarlin joined the LNBC staff in 2018 as the Early Childhood Coordinator.  She’s been passionate about serving in ministry from a young age and after receiving a B.S. in Communications from Appalachian State University, she pursued ministry training at Gardner-Webb University where she earned a Master of Divinity.  She continued her studies in Christian counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.  Courtenay loves caring for the families of LNBC and believes every aspect of caring for little ones (even diaper changes and blowing noses) is part of planting seeds that will grow towards maturity in Christ. 

 

Courtenay is married to Gavin and they have two young children, Joyanna and Oakley.  She spends most of her days taking care of her family and loves coffee, a good conversation, finding a good bargain, and taking naps!
